What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Your browser’s local storage (localStorage) works in a similar way. In this policy, the term ‘cookies’ covers both technologies.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary

These are needed for the basic operation of the website and do not require consent. The website stores locally on your device only your cookie choices and any accessibility settings you switch on. This information is not sent to us and is not used for tracking.

Statistics (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used (e.g. which pages are read most) and to improve it. The _ga and _ga_* cookies are stored only after you give consent.

Advertising (only with your consent)

We use Google Ads to measure whether our adverts lead to contact, e.g. a telephone call or a form submission. The _gcl_* cookies are stored only after you give consent. With your consent, Google may also set cookies on its own domains.

Google cookies (e.g. NID)Google (google.com)Third-party content (map)Set by Google only if you click ‘Show map’.In accordance with Google’s policy

The durations of Google’s cookies are Google’s defaults and may be changed by Google.

We use Google Consent Mode (version 2). By default, statistics and advertising are switched off and the corresponding cookies are not stored. Until you give consent, Google may receive only limited cookieless signals (e.g. that a visit took place and the consent status).

When you arrive on the website from an advert and have not given consent, information about the click (e.g. the gclid identifier) may be passed along in the page address (URL) instead of being stored in a cookie, while advertising data are sent without identifiers.

Embedded third-party content

  • Google map: on the Contact page, the map loads only if you click ‘Show map’. Until then, no connection is made to Google for the map.
  • YouTube videos: if a page includes a YouTube video, it is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
  • Facebook and Instagram: the website contains only plain links to our pages and does not load any Meta plug-ins.

How to change your choices

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the ‘Cookie settings’ link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawal applies from that point onwards; you can delete cookies already stored through your browser settings. Refusing statistics and advertising cookies does not affect how the website works.

You will find more about how your data are processed in our Privacy policy. If you have any questions, write to us at info@i-hlamidis.gr.
