8Sole: custom orthopaedic insoles made by 3D printing
8Sole is a new generation of orthopaedic insoles, designed from a 3D scan and printed on a 3D printer, made specifically for your feet, your needs and your lifestyle.
Have a static or dynamic foot scan with gait analysis on our digital foot scanner on Egnatia Street, and get orthotic insoles, ready-made or custom, that match your own needs.

Does your heel hurt, do your feet tire quickly, or has your doctor asked for a foot scan in Thessaloniki? At Hlamidis Orthopaedic Center, Egnatia 101, you can have a static or dynamic foot scan with gait analysis on a modern SCHEIN foot scanner. The results give your doctor the clearest possible picture and help us recommend the right orthotic insoles in Thessaloniki, ready-made or custom.
A foot scan (plantar pressure analysis) is a painless test that records how your weight is distributed across the soles of your feet.
The SCHEIN foot scan platform is a treadmill with a built-in measuring plate under the belt. Its capacitive sensors measure how your weight is distributed when you stand, walk and run. The software calculates pressure, force, timing, step and gait symmetry. The results are compiled into a report that you can show to your doctor.
The report shows where pressure builds up on the sole of your foot, whether you load both feet symmetrically, and how each step rolls from heel to toes. This information helps us design an insole that relieves the areas under strain.

Your doctor may request one in cases such as:
Based on the foot scan and your doctor's prescription, our specialist staff will recommend the right solution:
Many people search for a “3D foot scan”. In practice, we combine the dynamic foot scan, which shows how you walk, with the 3D scan of the foot that we use for 8Sole insoles, so that the insole matches the shape of your own foot.

The cost depends on the type of test (static or dynamic) and on the insoles you need: ready-made, custom or 8Sole. Call us for current prices.
For insoles, as a contracted provider of EOPYY (ΕΟΠΥΥ), Greece's national health insurance organisation, we dispense your doctor's referral for people insured in Greece, with a 25% co-payment (Government Gazette (ΦΕΚ) B' 2106/2025, Article 46). As an indication, according to Government Gazette B' 1079/2022:
To find out whether the foot scan itself is covered, contact us and we will check what applies in your case. If you are not insured in Greece, EOPYY reimbursement does not apply; you can pay privately, and any cover depends on your own insurer's rules — contact us and we will give you the information you need for your case. This information is correct as of the date of the last update. More on our EOPYY reimbursement page.
Bring your doctor's referral or note, if you have one, and the shoes you wear most often, so we can recommend insoles that fit them. Wear clothes that let you walk comfortably on the treadmill.
Looking for prosthetic feet for an artificial limb? Energy-return prosthetic feet, such as the Pro-Flex, which allow people with an amputation to wear different shoes, are part of the prosthesis. See our below-knee (transtibial) prostheses.

The price depends on whether you have a static foot scan or a dynamic one with gait analysis, and on whether insoles follow. Call us on +30 2310 282 894 for current prices and to book an appointment at our premises at Egnatia 101.
In a static foot scan the measurement is taken while you stand. In a dynamic scan you walk or run on a treadmill with built-in sensors, and the software analyses pressure, timing, step and symmetry. This shows how you load your feet in real movement, not only when standing still. Often both are done.
For people insured in Greece with a doctor's referral for specific diagnoses, a special insole made from a cast has a maximum reimbursable price of €90 according to Government Gazette (ΦΕΚ) B' 1079/2022, with a 25% co-payment. For the foot scan and your own case, contact us and we will check what applies.
Orthotic insoles are placed inside the shoe and may help distribute weight correctly, support the arch and relieve pain. They are available ready-made and custom-made, while 8Sole insoles are produced by 3D printing.
Your doctor may recommend orthopaedic insoles for flat feet or heel spurs, with the aim of supporting and relieving the sole of the foot. The foot scan shows us where pressure builds up, so we can choose or make the right insoles, always in consultation with your doctor.
You can book an appointment directly with us. However, if you plan to get insoles through EOPYY, you will need a referral from a doctor of the relevant specialty. The foot scan results are compiled into a report that you can show to your doctor. Call +30 2310 282 894 to book.
