4 steps to your own 8Sole insoles

  1. Scan: a 3D scan ensures the insoles will fit your foot.
  2. Configure: our technician makes sure the fit is right and you choose the design. You become a “co-designer” of your insoles.
  3. 3D printing: the insoles are printed on 3D printers.
  4. Delivery: you receive them ready to wear, with instructions for getting used to them.

8Sole and the foot scan

For a complete picture, we can combine the 3D scan with a foot scan and gait analysis, which shows how your weight is distributed when you stand, walk or run. That way the insoles match both the shape of your foot and the way you walk.

Who are they for?

Your doctor may recommend orthopaedic insoles for flat feet, high arches, heel pain or pain in the ball of the foot, for athletes under heavy strain and for children. 8Sole is one of our options, alongside ready-made Schein insoles and custom-made insoles; we will recommend whatever suits you best, in consultation with your doctor.

8Sole or traditional custom insoles?

Both are personalised solutions. Traditional custom insoles are made from a cast and measurements, while 8Sole insoles are designed digitally on the scan and then printed, which allows a slim profile and a choice of design. There are also ready-made Schein insoles, when nothing needs to be made. We will decide together which solution suits you, based on your doctor's prescription, the foot scan and the shoes you wear.

Which shoes do they fit?

The business version has a slim profile so it fits smarter shoes. The sport version is designed for your trainers, and the comfort version for your everyday shoes. Bring the shoes you want to wear the insoles in to your appointment, so we can choose the right version together.

The first days with your new insoles

Any new insole takes a little time to get used to. When you collect them, we will give you instructions for wearing them gradually. If you feel discomfort that does not go away, come back so we can check them and make any adjustments needed.

Cost and EOPYY

The cost depends on the type of insole (comfort, business, sport, kids) and the materials. To find out whether a referral under EOPYY (ΕΟΠΥΥ), Greece's national health insurance organisation, can be used for 8Sole insoles if you are insured in Greece, contact us and we will check what applies in your case. If you are not insured in Greece, EOPYY reimbursement does not apply; you can pay privately, and any cover depends on your own insurer's rules — contact us and we will give you the information you need for your case. This information is correct as of the date of the last update. See also our EOPYY reimbursement page.

What are 8Sole insoles?

8Sole insoles are custom orthopaedic insoles designed digitally after a 3D scan of your foot and produced on a 3D printer, according to your doctor's prescription. There are versions for comfort, business shoes, sport and children. We carry out the scan and the design with you in store.

How are 3D-printed insoles different from traditional orthotic insoles?

8Sole insoles are not made from a plaster cast but digitally, on the scan of your own foot, and are then 3D printed. This means they can have a slim profile for smart shoes or a dynamic design for sport, and you choose the design. We will discuss together which solution suits you.

Can children wear 8Sole insoles?

Yes. There is a kids' version of 8Sole, shaped for the growing foot and designed for high activity. The right type of insole is always chosen in consultation with the child's doctor. As the foot grows, we check regularly whether the insole needs replacing.

How much do 8Sole insoles cost?

The price depends on the type of insole and the materials. Call us on +30 2310 282 894 for details and to book a scan. If you are insured in Greece, we will check whether any EOPYY reimbursement applies in your case.
