Foot scan & custom orthotic insoles in Thessaloniki
Have a static or dynamic foot scan with gait analysis on our digital foot scanner on Egnatia Street, and get orthotic insoles, ready-made or custom, that match your own needs.
Custom orthotic insoles, diabetic and children's orthopaedic shoes, sports supports: it all starts with a proper assessment of your feet on our foot scanner in Thessaloniki.

Your feet carry your whole body weight with every step. When the way you stand and walk is not right, pain can appear in the heel, the knee or even the lower back. At Hlamidis Orthopaedic Center in Thessaloniki we assess how you walk with a foot scanner and recommend the solution you need: orthopaedic insoles, ready-made or custom, comfort and orthopaedic shoes, diabetic footwear and sports supports.
On the Schein foot scanner, a treadmill with a built-in sensor plate, we measure how your weight is distributed across your soles when you stand, walk or run. The software calculates pressures, timings, step and gait symmetry, and the results are compiled into a report that is also useful for your doctor. See in detail what a foot scan and custom orthotic insoles involve.
Based on the foot scan and your doctor's instructions, our staff may recommend ready-made insoles from the wide range of the German manufacturer Schein, or make orthotic insoles specifically for you. A newer option is 8Sole insoles, designed on a 3D scan of your foot and produced by 3D printing, in versions for everyday wear, formal shoes, sport and children.
Orthotic insoles may help with conditions such as flat feet, high arches (pes cavus), heel spurs and metatarsalgia, always in line with the diagnosis and instructions of the treating physician.
For people with diabetes, the right footwear is part of foot care. The diabetic shoes we offer, in partnership with the German company Schein, are made entirely of leather with no internal seams, designed to protect against friction and pressure, and made-to-measure pairs are also available. Our diabetic shoes page also explains what they are and how they help.
Many orthopaedic conditions of the lower limbs appear in childhood, while the foot is still developing. Children's orthopaedic shoes, combined with insoles where needed, help with conditions such as flat feet in children, following the instructions of the paediatrician or orthopaedic surgeon.
To protect your joints during sport and while recovering from injury, we stock sports supports such as knee supports, wrist supports and ankle supports, in a range of sizes.
EOPYY (ΕΟΠΥΥ), Greece's national health insurance organisation, covers certain insoles and shoes for people insured in Greece, provided the diagnosis on the doctor's referral is one of those listed in its price schedule, usually with a 25% co-payment by the insured person. The foot scan on its own is not listed as a separate benefit in the price schedule. Contact us so we can check what applies in your case, or see our page on EOPYY reimbursement. If you are not insured in Greece, EOPYY reimbursement does not apply; you can pay privately, and any cover depends on your own insurer's rules — contact us and we will give you the information you need for your case. The EOPYY information is correct as of the date this page was updated (October 2026).
